Tracey Vita's School of Dance
Tracey is celebrating 40 years of teaching. It began at age 3at the Ramsey, N.J. Dance Academy. At age 10, she became an apprentice in the Ramapo Ballet Company directed by Vitale Folkine, son of Michael Folkine, Choreographer to Pavlova.
Tracey was also a member of Mid-Hudson Regional Ballet dance company (which was supported by the Eleanor Roosevelt Foundation). The company appeared throughout the United States, including Jacob’s Pillow, Lincoln Center, Central Park, New York City, and Canada. Tracey studied at St. Leo University in Florida. She majored in dance with a minor in elementary education. And so she has for the past 38 years been teaching students of all ages.
Elisha Byerly began her dance career as a student of Miss Tracey. During her senior year of high school she toured Israel, Puerto Rico and the United Sates with a Christian Dance/Ministry troup. Upon returning to the United Stated , Miss Elisha began teaching at Tracey Vita’s School of Dance and also started a dance company. Elisha received her dance degree from University of South Florida. Elisha continues to perform with Sarasota Contemporary Dance Company. In addition to her passion for dance and teaching Miss Elisha and her husband Kris have 2 sons, Kieran and Eason.
Breslyn started dance at a young age and quickly decided it was going to be her life's ambition. In high school she was a member of the Manatee High School Sugar'Canes and became the co-captain Senior year. While attending University of South Florida she studied dance and was a member of the Sun Dolls Dance Team. Breslyn is the Director of dance at Bayshore High School and is in charge of the Honey Bears dance team. She has become passionate about mentoring the students.
